The Missing Warriors

Where have they all gone?

The Warriors,

The Ancient Heroes of Legend,

The Knights whose names have passed generations.

The Greats;

Vega,

Chun Li,

Sakura.

They used to be here,

Available to all those who needed,

Who asked.

But now they’re gone;

Zangief,

M. Bison,

Ken Masters.

Where have they gone?

Why have they gone?

Legends don’t die.

Immortal Combatants cannot pass;

Juri Han,

Akuma,

Ryu.

Now Gone!

All Gone!

Nowhere,

No More.

But why?

Why can’t I…

Be One?

This poem was inspired by a recent attempt to play a demo of Street Fighter 6, but had to go through creating an avatar, rather than just play with a classic character.
