Recently I have been reading Moth to a Flame; and it was really good! Written by Finn Longman, and published by Simon & Schuster; Moth to a Flame is a young adult thriller novel, and the final book in The Butterfly Assassin trilogy. Having fled Espera at the end of the previous book, Isabel Ryans finds herself in Leeds, trying to live a normal life; not easy when people find out who she really is! One thing I need to make clear about this entry, is that I’m pretty sure I had a badly printed copy. The pages were rigid, and didn’t flip/flop over as book pages usually do when you turn them, which did frequently put me off reading the book whilst reading it (which is why it took me so long to read it). That’s a shame, because 1) I was really looking forward to reading it, and 2) it was a decently captivating read. The book is a lot different to the previous two, as there were a lot more violence and action in those, whereas this focuses more on healing and moving forward. It did feel like the first few chapters were a bit preachy, and constantly repeating themselves, but eventually it starts moving, telling a story, and throwing in a few incidents. It’s sadly not as interesting to read as the first two (but it is the third in a trilogy after all), but it still has it’s moments, helmed as always by genuinley interesting characters. But despite some flaws, it was still a good book to read, and a relatively all rounded and worthy ending, to the best book trilogy I have ever read!
