Mini Film Review – Glass

I have just watched Glass; and it was ok! Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and starring James McAvoy, Bruce Willis, and Samuel L. Jackson; Glass is a superhero movie, which concludes the trilogy featuring both Unbreakable and Split. Set after the events of Split; David Dunn and The Horde find themselves locked up inside a mental facility with Mr. Glass; and a psychiatrist (Sarah Paulson) who treats people who think they are superheroes. The film started off ok reintroducing characters, but eventually slowed down to a dull and uninteresting crawl. And it continued like this for a time. The investigation bits from characters outside were cool, but not enough to perk up interest. It wasn’t until Jackson finally started speaking, that things started to turn around. The last thrilling act was pretty good, with awesome fight scenes and some nice additional bits of drama, but then it went downhill again, as it started referencing new plot details; and chose to wrap up quickly rather than interestingly. It’s a bit of a dull climax to a trilogy featuring two pretty cool films, but at least the ending was alright.
