In 1954, a large alpha predator is lured to Bikini Atoll to be killed with a nuclear weapon; with the whole incident being covered up as a nuclear test. In 1999, after a mining collapse in the Philippines; a nuclear power plant suddenly crumbles to the ground in Japan. 15 Years later, at the site of the former nuclear power plant, a giant monster awakens! It has been 50 years since Godzilla attacked Tokyo, and Japan has rebuilt itself. But suddenly more monster sightings have been recorded. Firstly there was a creature attacking New York in 1998. Then a monster was spotted near a destroyed American nuclear submarine. Then another monster, and another, and another. Most worryingly of all, a name keeps being said aloud by all witnesses, a name which everyone has tried so hard to forget! In the far reaches of space; a strange, large, crystal like object, born from a black hole; is making it’s way to Earth. What is most terrifying about this prospect is that there’s something eerily familiar about it. But that’s still in space, which right now is clearly an S.E.P., as back on Earth there are other things to focus on. These include the construction of a new Mech, a soldier out to get revenge against a certain monster, and a strange scientific experiment to try and telepathically control that same certain monster! Three months after an eruption on Daikoku Island; the fishing vessel Yahata Maru goes missing. A news reporter discovers the vessel, and is attacked by a giant Sea Louse, only to be saved by the only surviving member of the crew. Once back on the mainland however, he is confined to a police hospital, and his story is kept under wraps. The reason: because he saw another monster, one not seen in 30 years!
