Mini Film Review – A Monster Calls

For the last 20 minutes or so; I could not stop crying!It is a very powerful film with themes and ideas so true to reality that it is hard not to think that it’s you who this film is really about. It loses some moments of mystery, and has one main character missing from the book, but it is a near equal representation of the fabulous book it’s based on (don’t know if you have read it, but you should, it’s really good). It comes packed with emotion and belief while also creating an interesting mix of Fantasy and Reality. A splendid film with a sharp ending twist, which will make you cry, if you haven’t started to already!
