The Lord of the Rings film trilogy is held up high by many as one of the best movie trilogies ever produced; however to me they don’t sit all that high up. They’re not bad films, just bland! Anyway, I have heard of this song before and listened to here and there, but it wasn’t till today that I actually heard it all the way through, and it’s pretty fun.
The opening riff is quite a nice little albeit rather daft jape which puts brings back memories of the Mr. Blobby song for some reason. As it continues it begins to morph into the style of the soundtrack from The Lord of the Rings film series, before then going into a vast clip show of lyrics which mainly features Orlando Bloom playing Legolas saying the now probably immortal words: “They’re taking the Hobbits to Isengard“. It then goes on to feature some more appearances from other characters in Lord of the Rings including a nice inclusion for Marton Csokas as Celeborn.
It’s quite a nice fun little jape of a song!
