I have just watched Battle at Big Rock, and it was pretty good. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Battle at Big Rock is a short film set in the same universe as the Jurassic Park film series, taking place one year after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The short film follows a small family who have gone into the woods for a family holiday, only to be visited by a couple of very big dinosaurs in Nasutoceratops, and Allosaurus. Taking on the form of a mini horror movie, Battle at Big Rock is very similar in theme to Krampus in that it features a small family who are set upon by a great monstrosity in a quiet and peaceful setting. For a short horror film, it is very well done; the CGI dinosaurs are the same quality as the main film series, plus the shock and horror of what unfolds looks genuinely believable. Whilst not a major movie release in the series, the film still provides enough of a taste to satisfy hungry fans until the next big release. Plus, the ending scenes of other found footage incidents provide an additional hook, with a little bite of humour too.
