Recently I have been playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain; and it was surprisingly good! Developed by Kojima Productions, and starring Kiefer Sutherland, Robin Atkin Downes, and James Horan; Metal Gear Solid V is an open-world stealth game where the player takes on the role of Venom Snake in his latest adventure. I had previously played Ground Zeroes a few years ago, and did not enjoy the experience one bit; it really put me off playing this game, but once I got into it, I didn’t want to stop! I loved the stealth mechanics and the open world view, plus the leisure of being able to do things in which ever order I wished, it was a fun experience from start to finish! I did though have one major gripe in the form of The Skulls! Boss missions in the game come as a complete surprise, and as the game doesn’t prepare you or train you for them, they can become a really dreaded scenario. I would look through the opening credits of each level hoping I wouldn’t see the word ‘Skulls’ anywhere in them, and then would become enraged when facing them in levels as I would have no idea what to do! On several occasions, I was just wanting the game to become more like Far Cry. Despite that little set back however, the game was still very engrossing and enjoyable throughout!
