Mini Live Review – Peter Kay: Better Late Than Never Again

On Saturday I went to see Peter Kay‘s Better Late Than Never Again at the AO Arena in Manchester; and it was Gloriously Awesome! Starring Peter Kay, Better Late Than Never Again is an extension to his most recent tour! This was the first time I saw Peter Kay live, and at first I was concerned if I would actually like it or not, but within minutes, he grabbed the audiences attention, first by checking out who was turning up late, then going through a 20 minute bit talking about old TV show/advert themes. As the night progressed, he told some really amusing stories, as well as some outright hillarious ones, whilst also presenting a heart-warming tribute to his Nana. What was really cool to see, was how good Peter Kay is at descriptions. He was using no physical aides, but he could really explain what happened, with such clarity, it was like you were there when it happened. He’s also good at turning a comedy phrase, in that he can say something meant to be a joke, but then make it look like the audence has insulted him in a comedic fashion. The night just kept going with plenty of surprises, some brilliant stories, and an epic conclusion, which he made the audience swear to secrecy!
