Mini Film Review – Star Wars: The Last Jedi

I liked it; I really did! It’s a fun new entry with some good moments creating scenes of shock and awe, providing some classic thrills but creating new ones too to provide a unique experience. Yes, they did have some scenes rather similar to those from The Empire Strikes Back, and also some from Return of the Jedi, as well as some countdown moments that were reminiscent of films directed by Michael Bay (the countdown to destruction/countdown in Armageddon?). But the film also had a lot of new and original things, to make it a standalone entry too (and not a direct remake). Overall, I liked this film, its given me a more optimistic view for the future of the series, but altogether is simply an enjoyable film.
