Mini Film Review – Suicide Squad

I have just watched Suicide Squad, and I thought it was, well………Dull!
The introduction scene was good, but took a long time; the entire first act (I know that that’s what the first act is for, but seriously, all it did was introduce characters, not plot)! The film’s plot was very sketchy; most of (if not all of) the time it felt like there wasn’t one. Most of the action scenes were just confusing and it felt like the film was making up the plot as it went along; sketching ideas down on any bit of rubbish that blew by in shooting the latest scene. Action was all over the place, setting was non-existent, and there was no way of knowing who or what was the villain (I know they’re villains in a team for good, but who is the films main antagonist?). Will Smith and Margot Robbie were ok, but that’s pretty much it; the bloke playing The Joker (Jared Leto) was all over the shop and I just could not take him seriously! The ending was ok but this film just loses its own plot after the first 19 minutes as it staggers along providing no real idea or evidence as to exactly what it is!
