Recent Bakes

I like baking, it’s something I enjoy plus is also something that I feel I am actually good at. In the past week, I have had some struggles. I have been trying to think of something to blog about, and also I had an accident and injured my Coccyx/Tailbone, which has made both standing and even sitting down quite painful at times. Anyway, I thought I would do a little post on some of the things I have been baking recently.

This is my most recent bake. They are chocolate cakes with Vanilla Icing coloured yellow and with silver balls for decorations. I upped the recipe ingredients from 4oz to 6oz to make bigger cakes. The muffin is based on a recipe from 1000 Recipes – More Cupcakes.

I made this cake a couple of weeks ago. It’s a simple chocolate cake with chocolate icing, but I added silver balls and Snowies on the top for decoration. The balls took me quite a while to add-on. The cake base is based on a recipe from Delia’s Complete Cookery Course. 

This is a cake I made a few weeks ago for when a friend was visiting. It’s a hidden surprise cake. The exterior is a rich flavour with betty Crocker Cream Cheese frosting on top. Then when you cut into it, you will find inside the cake some purposefully coloured black sponge cake in the shape of a Dragon.

It tasted pretty nice too. The cake plus surprise is based on a recipe from Hidden Surprise Cakes.
