I have just been out to see Avengers: Endgame; and it wasn’t bad…Not great, but still enjoyable!
The ending was longer than that of Return of the King‘s! The end battle was more Force Awakens lip service than anything else! The rest of the film was alright though! It took a while to build up towards doing anything as it felt like the film was playing catch-up for those who didn’t see Infinity War, but the planning stages of the group felt very similar to the planning moments in Inception. The story was alright with some final endings and some not so bright beginnings (doesn’t provide much future promise), but as it got the nitty gritty out-of-the-way, the film flies on strong, weaving some un-foreseen twists, and some unhappy endings. The cast were pretty good with a fun performance from Chris Hemsworth, and a near defining performance from Robert Downey Jr., and Paul Rudd wasn’t too bad either. But in a midst of all that, are some great performances from returning cast members almost long forgotten as the series freight trained on, along with Morgan Stark (Lexi Rabe), special attention goes towards Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and of course, the big man, the best man; the all terrific Korg (Taika Waititi). So al in all, not too bad!
