Mini TV Review – One Punch Man (Season 1)

This morning, I finished watching Season 1 of One Punch Man; and it was pretty Awesome. Based on the Manga series of the same name; One Punch Man is a super hero based Anime series following the exploits of a super hero who is able to defeat the strongest of enemies with simply one good punch. Life for him has somewhat got rather boring due to a lack of decent competition given his skill however. From the outset, One Punch Man is both deliberately silly and very, very funny. It creates laughs and short critiques on the super hero genre, the monster movie genre, plus modern life, the daily lives of super heroes, policies, and politics. While some of these aren’t stand out moments for the entire series run, when they get flagged up in episodes, they give you a reason for a good chuckle. Each episode is beautifully written, with some wonderful voice acting, plus an incredible opening theme tune. One Punch Man is worthy of a first look, but be warned; because you won’t be able to stop watching!
