Mini Video Game Review – Kingdom Rush

Recently I have been re-playing Kingdom Rush; and it’s still pretty good. Developed by Ironhide Game Studio, Kingdom Rush is a Tower Defense game where the player needs to construct towers to defend the kingdom against hordes of malicious enemies. The game does things differently to most tower defense games, as one form of tower construction includes barracks. This means that soldiers can be trained to block enemy movement, whereas in most games of this genre, the path of enemies is usually more clear. The use of defend kinds of towers along with the deployment of troops means that the game provides that extra level of strategy, which is a big plus in this games favour. One issue though is that the game doesn’t offer many new surprises the more times you play it; but that could be said with most games. On the whole then, a pretty rich tower defense game with plenty of levels to enjoy with an extra spice of strategy for those who desire it.
