I have just been out to see Jumanji: The Next Level; and it was alright. Directed by Jake Kasdan and starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Kevin Hart: Jumanji: The Next Level sees the heroes return to the game world to save it once more. The whole film felt like a blur, it had it’s funny moments, and then some other moments. I liked how the real life characters had some more screen and development time, plus the inclusion of Danny DeVito and his comedic portrayal were pretty good; but the film on the whole felt more like another one, like it was copying the previous one a little too much. It kept it’s previous mythos, and it’s comedic caper-bility; but then everything else just felt like I was watching a repeat, like it wasn’t doing anything new; although the ending is both good and promising. So; on the whole it’s not as good as Welcome to the Jungle; but it’s still a pretty good laugh!
