Mini Film Review – This Is Spinal Tap

I have just watched, This Is Spinal Tap; and it was pretty funny! Directed by Rob Reiner, and starring Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer; This is Spinal Tap is a Rockumentary about a fictitious Heavy Metal band from England who embark on a major tour of America. The film is a little disjointed and the narrative is rather unreliable, but that’s what makes the film quirky and funny. It features a little bit of drama here and there as it focuses on the lives of the bands two lead guitarists, but also features little pieces about the band’s history, their trouble with stage effects, and how their drummers keep dying in mysterious circumstances! A pretty funny documentary packed with plenty of laughs, and some good old fashioned Heavy Metal!
