Mini Video Game Review – Opus Magnum

Recently I have been playing Opus Magnum; and it’s pretty enjoyable! Developed by Zachtronics; Opus Magnum is a puzzle based programming game where the player needs to create products by manipulating atoms. The base gameplay involves selecting alchemy elements, and then using production methods, and an easy to understand programming language to turn those elements into product. The game features a plot which you can read at your own leisure, plus some weird marble game which I have yet to understand. The puzzles though are really fun to get into, and can take time to master, but thanks to the complex creation of each one, are easy to get stuck into. It’s a complex, but really cool puzzle game which provides hours of entertainment, plus the city artwork brings back happy memories of the film Akira!
