I haven’t been on many Holidays in recent years. I know it has been a struggle in Lockdown over the last nearly two years, but even if you go before then; it’s been a while since I really had a good long holiday or really go somewhere different!
For 10 years I went to Root Hill Camp from 2008 to 2018, and had some good times and made lots of really great friends, but when not including that, it feels like 2012, maybe 2013, was the last time I really went somewhere on Holiday. Not complaining, Root Hill was really truly great. And it’s not like I have only just gone there for a week when I needed a break. I have visited friends over weekends, visited places over weekends like the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway for my 30th Birthday. And last October I had a wonderful weekend in Bristol with my Root Hill buddy Matt (highlight of my 2021 year).
But now that I am a little older, and have a good job with some money saved up, part of me really wants to go exploring, and see the things I always dreamt of seeing. Last year I looked into doing a Cruise, which I might try and have another look at this year. But with that possibly in the pipeline, I thought it might be nice to do a post on the places I would like to visit. I am not doing a Top 5 or Top 10 sort of list, more just a relaxing list of places I would like to go. Plus it allows me to do more down the line. So anyway, here are some places I would like to go to on Holiday; Enjoy!
Kraków – A couple of years ago before lockdown, when I was first considering going somewhere; I though about Krakow. I considered this because it was in the rough area of my budget, and it was just different than going to Spain, France or Italy.
Philadelphia – I would like to visit Philadelphia because it’s just a little bit different than going to some of the more well known American Cities for tourists to travel too, but also I quite fancy eating a Philly Cheese Steak I saw Booker T snacking into on an old episode of WWE Confidential from Pat’s King of Steaks.
Kuala Lumpur – I really like Tall Buildings and Skyscrapers, and my favourite in both categories is the Petronas Towers. And there’s only one place in the world you can find them!
South Korea – Since becoming more and more a fan of Korean Films, I have been able to see the beauty of South Korea more and more. Specifically around Seoul. So, I would quite like to go there, see the city, experience the food, and I do like the look of the video gaming culture there too.
Japan – Is it sad that the only real ambition I have is to visit Japan? Quite a bit of the positive influences in my life do come from japan; such as Films, Video Games, and most notably: Godzilla! Thanks to the Godzilla Films I have been able to see a historical journey of Japan, but I would still quite like to go there, and see it all through my own eyes, instead of via a TV screen. And it’s not like I want to see a small bit of it, I pretty much want to see all of it. Tokyo, Sapporo, Kyoto, Mount Fuji, the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, ride the Bullet Trains, and even try out the Sushi place James May visited too!
