Mini Film Review – Taken

Yesterday I watched Taken; and it was pretty good! Directed by Pierre Morel, and starring Liam Neeson, Olivier Rabourdin, and Maggie Grace; Taken is an action thriller film, about an ex CIA operative, who journeys to France, to retrieve his kidnapped daughter. It was a decently gripping experience from start to finish, as the film sets up the father daughter relationship and the bond that drives Neeson to rescue his daughter. The fight sequences were short but sweetly brutal, although some of the chase sequences were a bit too blurry at times, which just causes your eyes to get strained and dizzy. It was quite a cool experience, but it was also sort of ruined plot wise thanks to an episode of Family Guy, which practically mimics the entire plot of this film (much like Force Awakens and A New Hope); so sadly I sort of knew where this was going, but still held on hope that maybe there were major differences between the two. But, plot being ruined aside, it was a pretty cool and enjoyable edge of my seat experience!
