Mini Film Review – Colossal

My Favourite film of 2017. One thing that needs to be noted though, is that while Colossal may look like a monster movie, it isn’t! It’s a very social film about choices, decisions, relationships and abusive control. You have two characters telling parallel stories on the opposite side of the coin, and the film flips between narratives as it looks to tell the truth, and how it connects events from one to the other. It’s not a Giant Monster Movie, it just happens to have Giant Monsters in it. On the whole, very enjoyable.
