Mini Film Review – Westworld

I love the TV Show and am a big fan of Michael Crichton‘s books, this film though I am not too sure of. It seems to spend possibly a bit too much time setting up the location, and not setting off the inciting moment until a fair distance into the film. I like how it comes from the guests experience and really shows off how guests can be given every whim of their desire, but for what it shows it lacks in narrating. I sort of feel lost, it seems like the film just happens, does not explain and overall feels incomplete. I understand the need to set it up right to work, but again it should still tell a story whilst explaining actions. Currently feel neither here or there with it. It was fun to sit down and watch, and the Yul Brynner chasing moments with soundtrack were fun, but for the whole, not really grabbed by it.
