I have just watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri; and it was really good! Directed by Martin McDonagh, and starring Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson, and Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri tells the story of a mother, who after the authorities fail to catch the culprit of her daughter’s murder, hires some advertisement space to challenge the local law enforcement. The period of film is a hard one to place, but in time it’s modern setting becomes all the more real. Immediately from the word go, it enters the fray with an impactful message which sets up the whole thing. The film doesn’t waste time, or overstretch it’s time. It’s like every five minutes is the epic conclusion to an episode of the best TV drama on right now. The characters are amazing and blend in to their own personal, as well as other people’s stories. It’s a film which contains high stakes drama, soul impacting scenes, and heart hitting emotion. It’s deep and heart-wrenching, but also very touching and at times, very funny; and altogether is bundled into a gift, which contains a lot of heart!
